Carny Ville! [Sep. 18th, 2005|02:49 pm]
[i feel like... |draineddrained]

Yesterday i went to the Carbarrus county fair with Kelly, Chris, and AJ. I had a lot of fun, its been ages since i've been to any type of fair or carnivle and i can't say for sure if i've ever really been to a genuine county fair. Plenty to see and a good bit to do as well. Rides rides rides!

First of all we hit one (can't remember the name) that was almost like a bus as far as seating goes. it would flip around as a giant arm it was attached to would rotate back and forth. Much fun!
There was a scrambler, the flying swings, a tilt-a-whirl, and a decent sized ferris wheel.

There was a fun house but it was closed. Not very much fun i suppose.

They had a "haunted mine" ride that was so hilarious just because the entire ride consisted of 4 or 5 turns inside a covered area with little glass boxes where something was supposed to pop out... but of course it didn't work right. The first box had a head in it but it didn't trigger. The second box contained an evil lightbulb that would blink and make bell-like noises... creepy! The third box... EMPTY! What possible horrific nightmares could have once occupied that box?! The mind reels...

As far as unique rides (to me anyway), there was one called the Zipper. Little cages you sit in that spin while the whole ride spins as well. There was the Tornado. This one was one of the best. All four of us sat in this giant "Sit-n-Spin" and rotated it ourselves as the entire ride spun around. Much dizziness!

Speaking of diziness, there was a Gravitron-like ride that would spin and pin everyone to their seats, then instead of dropping the floor out, it would raise up and go almost vertical... (more like 45 degrees). They ran it for extra long and I have to admit it made my tummy turn after a while. I had to sit after that one lol.

The Ring of Fire was nothing but a rollercoaster loop that went over and over and over!

Our bands only let us ride unlimited until 5:00 so afterwards we all went to Texas Steakhouse and met up with Chris' mom and had some dinner. Then came the ride home where I napped a little.

It's been a long time since i've been able to just go out and have a good time and relax and not have to think about all the stuff i have to do... it was FANTASTIC and I couldn't have asked for better people to spend time with.

I had a blast :)

BIG BIG NEWS!!! [Sep. 14th, 2005|04:58 pm]
[i feel like... |chipperExcited!]

Although the official website is still in development, I've finished building our forums so that we can start getting a community together and start getting aquainted with one another. I invite all my friends to come and register to our little community to stay updated on the goings on of the House of Deville. If you're unnaware of what exactly the House of Deville is, fear not! For I shall explain...

Essentially we're a full-production arthouse/theatrical/production group that will be putting a new spin on the way Charlotte is entertained. Our main staple will be the fantastic stories of Madame Lilith Deville (and many other contributing writers) told through live theatrical stage performances involving realitic costuming, tightly rehearsed choreography, and full musical scores (provided by yours truly!).

Our plan is to have these shows once in a while (after all necessary production measures are met) however in between there will be parties, bands, dj's, FASHION SHOWS, drum circles... you know... some fun event nights. Stuff to do! But more on that in the future.

So enough of my babble! We want EVERYONE to enjoy this and we hope everyone will come and join these forums! I'd like to see all you lovers of fine arts and all you lovers of a good time come and sign up so we can get this ball rolling! We may have ideas, but it takes a demand to really drive the show! So what are you waiting for???

good times great pics [Aug. 29th, 2005|08:49 am]
[i feel like... |cheerfulhuzzah!]

went to roanoke virginia this weekend and had a blast. kelly went to see an old friend who came back into town from philly, who just happened to be one of the most expressive photogenic party animals i've met. so i took a lot of pictures. this one is definitely a black and white set. no doubt.

i got a ton of other great pictures as well! the whole area where this party was happening was amazing. it was a warehouse district to begin with, so fun industrial pictures are on the way. secondly it was a private party so only cool people were there. third, the gala was being held inside an art gallery! there were badass paintings and sculptures all over the place, which CERTAINLY makes for good photo fun.

everyone was way cool, too. tobi, the philly girl, was a blast to hang out with and even invited us up to philly sometime. i'm excited, i'd love to visit philly sometime, i've never been. i hear there are good cheesy steak thingies there! ;)

so this weekend was amazing and i got a ton of pictures to commemorate the entire event. Those are coming soon i promise! and so is kelly's shoot at clover rock we've picked through a bit more and the resulting pics are certainly of the best. so that too!

anyway thats all. be gone!

Amazing! [Aug. 21st, 2005|05:25 pm]
[i feel like... |amusedQuite Accomplished!]

I woke up this morning before the sun.
Before the rooster called out, I was guzzling a Red Bull. But why?

An artist has to strive to make sacrifices, you know.
An early morning call is a perfectly legit trade for my reward.

350+ photographs taken of an incredibly beautiful girl in a completely enchanting environment.
103 perfectly clear shots resulting from the 2.5 hour shoot

Of course the official veto on photographs comes from the model herself.
So when she decides on what she likes, you will see one of my best model photo shoots yet.

Damnit Kelly you are so fucking beautiful! Can't wait to share this session!

[i feel like... |chipperphew! what a relief!]

for two days i tore my car and room apart while zack and garland searched their homes. nothing, no wallet.

well after work yesterday i went to their condo and was just about to give up when i lifted the edge of their futon daybed couch cushion (one solid cushion) to find it wedged bewteen the folding metal arms of the couch.

WOW! i feel a thousand times better!

thanks for everyone who offered to help with the links and such, it was appreciated :)

now back to business!

FUCK. [Aug. 16th, 2005|11:29 pm]
[i feel like... |frustratedextremely frustrated & freaked]

Lost my wallet.

Lost my license.

Lost my social security card.

Lost my health insurance card.

Lost my checking card.

Lost my credit card.

Lost my Sam Ash card.

Lost my work key card.

Losing my mind, but hopefully not my identity,

I've just called and put a hold on my bank card and credit card, and i'll call about the Sam Ash card tomorrow. As far as license goes, I've needed to get another anyway - however losing mine is pretty shitty i must say. I'm pretty freaked out about my insurance and social security card. If anyone out there has lost a social sec. or insurance card, any advice? I'm quite freaked at the moment as i'm always very careful with my wallet/keys/phone stuffs. I've already searched and searched and searched again and torn apart and rearranged, and scoured. It's not here. It's not in my car. It's not in my yard. My only hope is that it is in the parking lot of or inside of Zack and Garland's condo. Or apartment for some reason. Thats the only other place i've not been able to look.

Damnit this really sucks.

8mm Camera/Player NEEDED! [Aug. 15th, 2005|09:50 am]
[i feel like... |anxiousplease oh please oh pleeease!!]

Does anyone out there in LJ Land have a device, camera or otherwise, that will play an 8mm camcorder tape? One of the camera guys filming AJ's show left us the tape, but we have no way to get the data off of it. So i'm begging anyone out there with such capabilites to lend a hand! (If your device has a firewire connection, i can bring my laptop to you and just dump it down right there)

Thanks all! =D
